What is Mythical Essence?
Mythical Essence is Mythrend's currency, represented by amethyst shards. It's used to purchase cosmetics like pets, particle effects, and gadgets from the Cosmetics menu.
You can check your current balance and purchase more at any time from the Mythical Essence button in your 
Player Profile.
How to Earn Essence
Voting
Use /vote to get links to vote for Mythrend across multiple sites. Each vote earns you +5 Essence, and some sites can be voted on again every 6 hours. See How to Vote for Mythrend & Earn Rewards for more details.
Weekly Goals
Completing a gamemode's Weekly Goals rewards a bonus of Essence on top of XP. See How Achievements & Quests Work for more on these.
Milestones
Reaching certain Network Level milestones rewards Essence as you level up. See Understanding Leveling & XP Progression for the full breakdown.
Linking Your Discord
Linking your Discord account in-game through your Player Profile rewards a one-time +50 Essence. See How to Link Discord In-Game for the steps.
Spending Essence
Essence is spent in the Cosmetics menu to unlock pets, gadgets, particle effects, and other cosmetics. See Cosmetics & the Preview World for the full category breakdown, including which cosmetics are rank-exclusive or reward-only and can't be purchased with Essence.
If you're subscribed to MYTHIC+, cosmetics bought with Essence are 20% cheaper for you.
