Supported Minecraft Versions
Native Version: 1.21.4
Mythrend runs natively on Minecraft 1.21.4. For the smoothest experience with no compatibility quirks, this is the version we recommend playing on.
Newer Versions via ViaVersion
Players on versions newer than 1.21.4 can also connect thanks to ViaVersion. However, since the server itself runs on 1.21.4, some newer blocks, items, or features may not translate perfectly. For example, blocks added in later versions may appear as stone or another placeholder block, and certain new items may not function as expected.
Older Versions
Versions older than 1.21.4 are not currently supported. We don't run ViaBackwards, so players on older clients won't be able to connect at this time.
Mods & Client Modifications
Optimization & QoL Mods
Mythrend allows client-side mods that improve performance or quality of life, such as Sodium, Lithium, and similar optimization mods. Minimaps, zoom mods, and inventory management mods are also generally fine.
What's Not Allowed
Any mod that gives you an unfair advantage, such as those that reveal hidden information, automate gameplay, or otherwise affect your performance in our gamemodes, is not permitted. This includes things like X-ray, auto-clickers, and combat assistance mods.
Anti-Cheat
Mythrend runs anti-cheat protection to help keep gameplay fair for everyone. If you're using mods purely for visual or quality of life improvements, you shouldn't run into any issues. If you're unsure whether a specific mod is allowed, feel free to ask in our Discord, or Contact Support.
