Why Enable 2FA?
Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) adds an extra layer of protection to your Mythrend account. Even if someone gained access to your Microsoft account, they'd still need access to your authenticator app to log into Mythrend.
This is separate from your Microsoft login, enabling 2FA here doesn't change anything about how you sign in with Microsoft. See How Microsoft Sign-In Works & Why It's Secure for more on that process.
Setting Up 2FA
You'll need an authenticator app on your phone, such as Google Authenticator, Microsoft Authenticator, or Authy.
Step 1:
Go to mythrend.net/account/settings/security and find the Two-Factor Authentication section.
Step 2:
Click Enable.
Step 3:
Scan the QR code that appears using your authenticator app.
Step 4:
Enter the code generated by your authenticator app to confirm setup.
Once confirmed, 2FA is enabled, you'll be asked for a code from your authenticator app each time you log in going forward.
